As the concrete settles, small cracks may appear at the joints of the various elements where water may subsequently leak. When the product makes contact with water, it expands to 400% of its original volume, allowing it to provide excellent sealing and waterproofing of the joint where it is placed. In this way, capillary cracks and holes are waterproofed in the most optimal way.

Calculate the length of the joint,where it will be laid and cut the necessary piece. Remember that it is necessary to join the ends of the butyl tape as close together as possible to ensure continuity. Overlapping the ends of the joint is not always possible and we need to ensure continuity when joining the ends as best as possible.

BENTONITA G.B. works perfectly when the following rules are applied:

• The concrete needs to be dry, smooth and dust-free. Remove loose dust and sand in a mechanical way. There should also not be any water.
• Any irregularities on the horizontal surface can be filled with polyurethane silicone.
• Make cuts in the walls and floors where they need to be filled with tape
• Clean the base of grease and dust
• Develop the right amount of BENTONITA G.B. and I'll put
• Join the end of one strip with the beginning of the other, making them as close together as possible without overlapping them
• BENTONITA G.B. can be nailed to the base if this will not create new cracks
• Apply the concrete so that the sealing strip is completely closed
• We recommend to nail BENTONITA G.B. with nails every 30cm to secure its stability. Also, this way the seal will stay in place when the concrete settles.
• BENTONITA G.B. is designed for the compaction of concrete structures, requiring a minimum of 75mm of concrete on each side.

• BENTONITA G.B. must be covered with concrete and not laid on exposed surfaces
• There must be no contact with water before the concrete is poured
• If the product expands beforehand from contact with water when it is applied, it must be replaced with new

BENTONITA G.B. is supplied in rolls of 5m (20 x 25 cm). The rolls are 6 pcs. in cardboard boxes. Store in a cool dry place in their original packaging.
