Where can you use polyurethane varnish?

As a finish coat on epoxy or polyurethane coatings to improve aesthetic properties, cleanability and traffic resistance. As a protection for metal surfaces to improve contamination resistance that have been treated with clear primers such as our IMPRIMACION A or mortar and concrete paints of the type TECMACRIL FACHADAS or TECMA PAINT AS.

The surface must be completely dry, free of grease, oil, dust or other contaminants. If applied over concrete, cement, brick, etc., it must first be IMPRIMACION Ato avoid getting tints on the substrate. When applied over other coatings they must be dry enough to avoid softening. If epoxy or polyurethane coatings are dry, the surface should be roughened to ensure good adhesion.

Instructions for applying colourless polyurethane varnish

Mix the two components and stir for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply the methods described above, covering the entire surface. On epoxy or polyurethane surfaces, do not allow more than 48 h between application of the epoxy and polyurethane and application of the product TECMA PAINT BPU polyurethane varnish to obtain perfect adhesion between the layers.

• Do not apply when temperatures are below +10⁰С
• Do not apply when relative humidity is above 80% or substrate temperature is below 3⁰With above dew point
• Do not apply TECMA PAINT BPU MATE directly on porous materials
• When applied directly to a porous base, the product will lighten the base colour just like any other varnish. To avoid this, apply a coat of IMPRIMACION A.
• When applied to surfaces other than epoxies and polyurethanes, tests should be made to rule out problems of surface/product mismatch.
