SOLQUIM TAR solvent for tar oils and fuels is recommended especially in:

• Cleaning of rollers, spreaders, tanks and general machinery in the tar industry and road construction.
• Removal of tar residues in the coating industry.
• Cleaning curbs on sidewalks and tar on floors.
• Cleaning of grease residues and heavy fuels.
• Degreasing and cleaning of engines and mechanical elements in trucks and other machinery used in construction
• Deworming and cleaning of descending parts in cars.
• Cleaning fuel tanks from the inside.

SOLQUIM TAR can be used neat as supplied or diluted with oil or fuel in different proportions depending on the degree and type of contamination. The cleaning power is reduced as the dilution is increased. It is a powerful solvent for tar oils and fuels.

The most appropriate method of use will depend on the application. As a general idea it can be applied by spraying, brushing or by dipping.

As examples below, we explain some of the most common uses, indicating the most appropriate dilutions and mode of use.

• Cleaning tar, spray clean or diluted with 3-4 parts of oil or fuel oil, let it sit for a few minutes and rinse with pressurized water while scrubbing with a brush.
• Degreasing engines and mechanical parts, spray with a mixture of SOLQUIM TAR and 5-6 parts oil or fuel oil. Finally, rinse with water under pressure.
• Cleaning by immersion, dilute with 6-8 parts oil, fuel oil or other suitable solvent. Soak cleaned parts for 10-15 minutes and finally rinse with pressurized water.
• Cleaning fuel oil tanks, use 1 litre SOLQUIM TAR for every 15-20 litres of existing waste. Shake well and pump out after about 30 minutes.
