PREMHOR GROUT thanks to its good mechanical resistance and high flowability, is recommended for:

Surface preparation

The surface must be hard and strong, free from oil, grease, dust, sand, paint, lime and other loose materials. We advise to clean surfaces carefully, by sandblasting or mechanical brushing. Areas that are too smooth and non-porous should be mechanically roughened to have better adhesion to the material.

When repairing damaged concrete, mechanically brush these areas until all loose and unbonded stones are removed from the surface and it is sound. Wash the base with water. It is important to dampen the substrate before application, but without puddle marks. The best way is to dampen the surface several times until it stops soaking in more, or alternatively, wet the surface thoroughly for a few hours and then remove the excess water, after which you can lay the PREMHOR GROUT. This is especially important for highly absorbent surfaces. If you need to repair concrete where the reinforcement is visible and has become exposed, it is a good idea to remove the excess stones around it and treat it with TECMA PAINT OXto protect the iron from corrosion.

Instructions

• Start by mixing PREMHOR GROUT with ¾ of the specified amount of water. It is best to use an electric mixer or cement mixer.
• Once it's well whisked, add the remaining ¼ of the water and continue whisking on low speed until you have a homogeneous mixture with no lumps. Do not introduce air into the mixture. The recommended rate is to mix for one 25 kg bag PREMHOR GROUT with 3.5 l of water (14%), depending on the surface you can add (13%) for a thicker solution, or (15%) for a thinner one, without exceeding the maximum proportion of water.
• Once the mixture is ready, apply it immediately. After mixing, the open time is no more than 20 min.

Application

Pour the finished mixture using a stick, on the place to be laid, you can use the same stick to stir it. Two holes should be made when filling spaces under slabs, one to get the material in and one to get the excess air out.

The recommended thickness is 1 - 4 cm. If you need a thicker layer of product (e.g. 10 cm) or to fill larger areas, we recommend that you make it like concrete by adding 12.5 kg of stones of 3 mm - 10 mm , for each 25 kg bag. PREMHOR GROUT . You can add FIBERMESH 6130 every m³ from the mixture to improve tensile strength and resistance to abrasion and impact.

Drying

Once you've laid it, it's a good idea to let it dry, protecting it from areas with stronger winds by adding TECMA HMF on the fresh mortar or by mocking it up from time to time to prevent it from drying too quickly.

Such moistening is very important and needs to be done over the next 2-3 days.

Special Applications

When a high degree of adhesion is required by the special nature of the application (repairing surfaces subject to heavy and intense traffic or structural concrete, etc.), we recommend applying primer to the surface when it is completely dry - use products such as TECMA PAINT AD or TECMA PAINT R and then apply PREMHOR GROUT while the primer is still dry.

Special Recommendations

• To apply the product correctly, do not mix more PREMHOR GROUTthan necessary.
• Do not add any material to the product other than those specifically required for the mixture.
• Do not apply when the temperature drops below +8⁰С
• Do not apply to frozen or frozen surfaces or if such conditions are expected before the product has dried
• Moisten the surface before application PREMHOR GROUT
• Make sure that when you apply PREMHOR STREET it is kept wet over the next few hours, particularly in warm and windy weather.
• Do not apply a single coat that is thicker than 4 cm.
• Avoid inhaling the powdered product while stirring it. Use protective goggles, gloves and mask.

Cost Norm

One 25 kg bag of PREMHOR GROUT is sufficient to fill a space of 12.5 to 14 l, depending on how much water is added to the mix.

Cleaning the Instruments

All used tools and utensils are cleaned with water after use before the product has dried.

PREMHOR GROUT is delivered in 25 kg. mesh paper bags. PREMHOR GROUT must be stored sealed in the original bags. The expected shelf life in the original bags should not exceed 12 months.
