What is Liquid Rubber for Wet Surfaces

• Recommended for repair and waterproofing of cracks in roofs and walls, areas of moisture penetration in roofs and gutters, complete waterproofing of roof coverings and terraces.

Surfaces must be hard and free of grease, oil, sand, dust, loose material or other contaminants. The surface may be wet but must be perfectly clean. When rehabilitating old waterproofing products, the surface shall be washed to remove any remaining dirt, then allowed to dry completely.

How to use polyurethane waterproofing for wet surfaces

Once the surface has been prepared, apply two coats of the product in a homogeneous manner with a minimum consumption of 0.7 kg/m2 per coat. The second coat should not be applied until the first coat has cured, at least 6 hours at 23ºC.

To make the waterproofing resistant to foot traffic, apply a first layer of 0.9 kg/m2 by placing a mesh or veil of reinforcement and then apply another layer like the first.

• It is very important to apply a flexible liquid rubber with the specified cost for good performance of the waterproofing.
• The containers must be airtight to prevent the product from hardening on top.
• Do not apply in case of traces of dirt, grease or oil.
• To clean the product without hardening, use TECMASOL D. If the product has hardened, cleaning must be carried out mechanically.

Liquid rubber for wet surfaces TECMA IMPERAL H2O is available in packs of 1 and 5 kg. Store in a dry place at temperatures between 5 and 35ºC, with unopened containers, airtight. The product can thus be stored for at least 18 months.
