Surface preparation

Surfaces must be cleaned and free of any contaminants. Such as grease, oil, residue of any concrete release agents, liquid mortar, dust, sand or loose or loosely adhering particles, etc.
Any paint and residue from any other waterproofing agents should be removed. Any crystals or mineral salts must be removed before application TECMADRY F. Any damaged areas must first be repaired, using the PREMHOR or PREMHOR-R. If there are any leaks, seal them with PROQUICK and then apply a layer of mortar PREMHOR before applying TECMADRY F. Before applying TECMADRY F on a surface, you must first wet the surface with water.

Installation instructions Flexible cement waterproofing

Prepare the required amount of water and add TECMADRY F stirring the mixture until it is completely aggregated. As a guide, use about 6, and 6.5 l. of water for each 25 kg. bag of TECMADRY F. It is recommended to use a mechanical mixer to mix the mass. Start mixing with very little water, beating slowly but steadily. Add water to smooth the paste until it reaches the required consistency, making sure that no lumps have formed. It's not a good idea to stir too quickly as a lot of air will get into the mixture, causing cratering and streaking. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 min. as this will help it to set better.

Although TECMADRY F possesses exceptional grip and flexibility, it is highly recommended to add CRYLADIT to the mixing water, at least 2 l. CRYLADIT for each bag of 25 kg. of the product, as this will improve the properties of the mortar even more (impermeability under pressure, adhesion, drying, etc.). TECMADRY F should be mixed using a solution of water and CRYLADIT in a ratio of 2 parts water to each part CRYLADIT. Before mixing them, dilute CRYLADIT with water and then add this solution to the TECMADRY Fstirring until you get a smooth mixture. One 25 kg. bag of TECMADRY F will need approximately 4.0-4.5 l. water and 2 l. CRYLADIT.

Application:

1. Moisten the surface by spraying it with clean water.
2. Apply the mass of TECMADRY F and water using a special short bristle brush. Apply the first coat over the entire surface.
3. Allow the coating you have applied to dry for approximately 8-12 h depending on the weather.
4. Moisten the coating you have applied to let it set better before applying the second coat.
5. Apply a second coat perpendicular to the first, and cover the entire surface.
6. From time to time, dampen the coating you have applied to make sure it sets evenly.

• Do not apply when the temperature drops below +5⁰C or if freezing is expected in the next 24 h
• Do not apply to frozen or frozen surfaces
• Do not wet the wall too much when the temperature is low, and has not reached +5⁰С
• Do not apply to plaster, paint or lime
• Allow to dry for at least 7-14 days (depending on temperature and atmospheric humidity) before filling with water or painting
• It is best to allow some time for the surface to bond and stabilize before applying TECMADRY F. Usually this time is about 2 months.

Cost rate for quality waterproofing:

To make sure the surface is properly waterproofed, we recommend using between 1.5 and 2 kg/m². Where pressurised water conditions apply, e.g. in swimming pools, tanks etc., you should use between 3 and 4 kg/m².

TECMADRY F liquid waterproofing for walls and foundations is supplied in 25 kg. mesh multilayer paper bags.

TECMADRY F must be stored sealed in the original bags. The expected shelf life in the original bags should not exceed 12 months.
